A group of 4 Nursing staff from the ZOC have visited Moorfields Eye Hospital in London, England.

The delegation led by Director of Nursing Xiao Huiming were in London for the “Study-tour” between June 6thand 9th .

At the invitation of Ms Tracy Luckett; who is the Director of Nursing at Moorfields, the visit allowed both sides to exchange views on a variety of important topics including; Management of Ophthalmic Nursing, Management of Nursing Human Resources, Day-care Ward Management, Clinical Research and the Training & Education of Ophthalmic Nurses.

Accompanied by the Head Nurses of the various Departments of the Hospital, the ZOC contingent, comprising of Head Nurse of Outpatients; Lin Liping, Head Nurse of the Wards; Huang Sijian and Head Nurse of Glaucoma; Huang Wenmin; visited the Emergency (A&E) Department, Outpatients Department, Operating room, Day-care Ward and the Children’s Eye Centre.

ZOC is confident that the Nursing Services that it offers will improve as a result of the information and ideas gleaned from this visit, as well as the extremely useful in-depth discussions which it allowed.
