ZOC Professors Winning Important Awards in 2018APAO

During February 8 to 11, 2018, 33rd Asia-Pacific Academy of Ophthalmology (APAO) Congress, held in conjunction with the 29th Hong Kong Ophthalmological Symposium and co-hosted by the Hong Kong Ophthalmological Society and the College of Ophthalmologists of Hong Kong, at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. APAO annual congresses have now become the premier ophthalmic professional and scientific event. APAO is the best showcase for the theme of APAO 2018 Congress – ‘Creativity and Technology without Boundaries’, with the clear objective of preparing today’s ophthalmic practitioners for the ever-evolving future of eye care.
In Opening Ceremony and Gala Dinner, awards ceremonies were held. Professors in ZOC have received some of the most important awards. Professor Yizhi Liu, director of ZOC and SKLO, was awarded by Asia Pacific Academy the De Ocampo Lecture, to honor the highest scientific achievements in Ophthalmology in Asia Pacific area. Professor Xiulan Zhang, direct of Clinical Research Center, was awarded the AAPPO. Professor Jian Ge, honored Professor of SKLO, received the best poster awards. In addition, Dr Fei Li supervised by Professor Xiulan Zhang received the APAO Travel Grant.
