Invited by Zhongshan Ophthalmic Center (ZOC) and Guangdong Provincial Ophthalmic Engineering Center, Prof. Mathias FINK, member of French Academy of Sciences, member of National Academy of Technologies of France, founder of Langevin Institute, and Prof. Claude BOCCARA, co-founder of the Langevin Institute, member of the Scientific Committee, visited ZOC from Dec.1st to Dec. 4th 2018.
Prof. Dan XIA, CPC secretary of ZOC, attended the Meeting Symposium on behalf of ZOC. At the symposium, the both sides introduced the history, research conditions and development directions of Langevin Institute and ZOC to each other, and discussed the future collaboration backgrounds and directions. After a deep and pleasant exchange, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Langevin Institute, ESPCI Paris and Zhongshan Ophthalmic Center, SYSU was signed by the two sides. Prof. Dan XIA, Director Jiawei WANG of the International affairs office, Director Jin YUAN and Prof. Peng XIAO of the Ophthalmic Engineering Center attended the MoU signing ceremony. The two sides reached extensive consensus on promoting the collaboration between Langevin Institute and ZOC, establishing a mechanism for regular visits, building a joint imaging research platform, and organizing Sino-French symposium on ophthalmic imaging technology.
