《眼科学报》中文版（月刊,ISSN:1000-4432;CN:44-1119/R）及英文版《Eye Science》（季刊,ISSN:3005-9984;e-ISSN:3005-9992）创刊于1985年，是由中华人民共和国教育部主管、中山大学主办、中山大学中山眼科中心出版及发行的国际化医学学术期刊。由中山大学中山眼科中心林浩添教授担任主编，中山大学中山眼科中心刘臻臻教授担任执行主编，由来自20多个国家的30多名国际知名眼科专家组成编委会。《眼科学报》致力推动全球眼科与多学科联合创新眼病防治策略，相关领域包括但不仅限于眼科基础与临床研究、眼病创新治疗与转化应用、眼科流行病学等领域的最新研究进展。
《眼科学报》中文版收录于Chemical Abstract(CA)、中国期刊全文数据库(知网)、中国核心期刊(遴选)数据库(万方)、中文科技期刊数据库(维普)等国内外重要数据库，是国家重点研发计划“专业内容知识聚合服务平台”创新服务示范单位。
英文版《Eye Science》，汇聚全球眼科前沿研究，构建国际领先的学术交流平台，入选首批“广东省高水平科技期刊建设项目”，为国际眼科学术组织——亚非眼科学会（AACO）官方期刊。
中山大学中山眼科中心简介
中山大学中山眼科中心是国家卫生健康委属委管唯一的眼科专科医院，是唯一的眼病防治全国重点实验室依托单位。中山眼科中心是眼科学国家创新高地。在眼科再生医学、生物信息、医学人工智能等做出了具有世界影响的贡献：利用内源性干细胞原位再生组织晶状体，2016年发表在Nature，并被Nature Medicine评为同年“全球医学八大进展之一”，这是我国医学界首次获评；青少年近视眼研究结果引起了习近平总书记的重视并为此重要批示；发现增加户外活动可有效预防青少年近视眼，发表在JAMA杂志，成为世卫组织和国家八部委近视眼防控方案；创新眼科人工智能的临床应用；原研白内障的I类新药以13.8亿元实现转化。获11项国家科技进步奖（第一完成单位）。
中山眼科中心是我国最具国际影响力的眼科机构。是世界卫生组织（WHO）在中国唯一眼科合作机构，亚太眼科学会总部所在地（第一个在中国大陆的国际医学学术组织），是中、英、美国家眼科研究联盟单位。

Issued in 1985, “Eye Science” Chinese edition (monthly, ISSN: 1000-4432; CN: 44-1119/R) and its English edition (quarterly, ISSN: 3005-9984; e-ISSN: 3005-9992) , the prestigious international medical scholarly journals, are under the auspices of the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China, hosted by Sun Yat-sen University, and published and disseminated by the Zhongshan Ophthalmic Center, Sun Yat-sen University. Professor Haotian Lin from the Zhongshan Ophthalmic Center, Sun Yat-sen University holds the position of Editor-in-Chief, with Professor Liu Zhenzhen serving as the Executive Editor-in-Chief. The editorial board is adorned with more than 30 distinguished ophthalmology experts hailing from over 20 countries. “Eye Science” is committed to fostering global advancements in ophthalmology and collaborative multidisciplinary strategies for the prevention and treatment of eye diseases. The journal's aim and scope encompass a broad spectrum of areas including, but not limited to, groundbreaking research in ophthalmological basic and clinical studies, innovative therapeutic and translational applications for ocular conditions, and ophthalmic epidemiology.
“Eye Science” Chinese edition is featured in prominent databases both in China and abroad, such as Chemical Abstracts (CA), China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), Chinese Core Journals (Selection) Database (Wanfang), and the Chinese Science and Technology Periodical Database (VIP). It stands as an exemplar of innovative service for the "Professional Content Knowledge Aggregation Service Platform," a national key research and development initiative.
"Eye Science" English edition, encapsulates the forefront of ophthalmologic research worldwide and forges a premier platform for international scholarly discourse. It has been included in the inaugural "Guangdong Province High-Level Scientific Journal Construction Project" and is the official publication of the Asia-Africa Ophthalmological Society (AACO).
Brief introduction of Zhongshan Ophthalmic Center
After more than 50 years of growth and advancement, Zhongshan Ophthalmic Center (ZOC; https://www.gzzoc.com/en), affiliated to Sun Yat-sen University in Guangzhou, has rapidly burst into a leading ophthalmic center both at home and abroad with a complete set of subspecialties, strong faculty team, advanced diagnosis and treatment equipment, innovative medical excellence and in-depth scientific research. Domestically, ZOC is the first Grade III Level A ophthalmic hospital, the only specialized ophthalmic hospital under the management of the National Health Commission and the supporting unit of the only State Key Laboratory of Ophthalmology in China. It has been ranked No.1 in the specialty of ophthalmology on the China’s Hospital Rankings List initiated by Fudan University for 13 consecutive years and No.1 in the specialty of ophthalmology on the Science and Technology Evaluation Metrics (STEM) List of Chinese Hospitals launched by Institute of Medical Information of Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences for 9 consecutive years.

Article Processing Charges
Eye Science is supported by article processing charges (APCs). Currently, all APCs are covered by the ZOC, so there are no publication charges for authors whose work is accepted for publication in Eye Science.
